January 14 2017 – SpeedX were saying that by now 80% of the Kickstarter orders had been shipped, which was approx 1,000 bikes.
“Now we’ve shipped out over 80% of all the Kickstarter orders. It’s a dream come to see people riding the Leopard on the streets. There are several issues that were pointed out in the SpeedX Riders group that we wanted to highlight on:
We still have 86 UNCONFIRMED ORDERS, despite emailing several times from November till now. We’ll contact you this weekend to get the order confirmed. Due to the high amount of tickets right now we do not recommend you to email us, we’ll email you if your order is not confirmed.”
January 25 2017 – The Chinese New Year approaches and stops production and delivery.
“As you probably know, Chinese New Year will slow down our shipping, because all workers go back to hometowns from the manufacturing industry zones. Usually the factories stop working for around 10 days. This year, the Chinese New Year day is Jan 27th, and our two factories are expected to start working on Feb 4th.
Here’s the latest shipping progress and expectation as below.
US Shipping
For 2nd batch, all tracking codes were sent by Jan 20th. As you could see in the Facebook Group, we have many US backers posting unboxing and test rides these days.
For 3rd batch, the Chinese New Year will have zero influence on the delivery. We will make sure there’s no delay at the LA distribution center this time. The 3rd batch already arrive in LA port today, earlier than we expected, and hopefully we will send them out by FedEx in a few days.
The FedEx shipping codes of 3rd batch should be sent by mid next week, and we will try to make it earlier.
Regarding to the 10 bikes left with uneven paint, we will ship them in 4th batch (a mix of KS and IGG orders) at late Feb.
EU Shipping
We already sent out 80 bikes today, including 41 bikes to UK, and all of them are Leopard Pro, as you could see from recent unboxing posts from EU backers. Matte black and black / white each takes 50%.
We don’t have the accurate the shipping schedule for the bikes left yet, because we have to double confirm after Chinese New Year, but according to latest schedule, we expect to ship out all Leopard Pro and Leopard by end of Feb. To be honest, we give this estimation a big buffer.
6 hour ago, we sent another 17 bikes to EU, and we have a big chance not to miss the shipping estimation this time, after we solved all kinds of problems at our Taiwan factory. Now it’s only about quick pre-packaging check, packaging and shipping.
RoW Shipping
As we mentioned before, there are 20 left. Now we confirm that all of them are already sent out.”
The 41 Bikes to the UK, were over half of the bikes ordered from the UK. Orders in total (from the UK) were 71 bikes.
Unconfirmed Orders
Currently we still have 61 unconfirmed orders in total. (EU35, US18, ROW8).
How it happened: Some backers thought they had confirmed their orders but they hadn’t actually. They either didn’t confirm their orders through our link in the email. Or they didn’t use the email that was used to back this project but personal ones in our confirmation form. Under these circumstances, they are not considered as ‘confirmed’.
Due to the high amount of tickets we receive every day, we do not recommend you to email us. Before this update, we just emailed all of our unconfirmed orders. Please check all your email folders including spams. If you receive an email titled as ‘SpeedX Unconfirmed’, please reply that email ASAP and our CS team will help you process the orders properly.”
February 27 2017 – Shipping almost complete.
“It’s end of Feb and time for another update.
US Shipping
All bikes in the 3rd batch are delivered! So happy to see your posts in the Facebook Group.
The 4th U.S. batch will be delayed for 1 week, and it should be shipped in middle of March. This batch will include the 45 newly confirmed KS orders and part of IGG orders. It will include around 100 bikes.
EU Shipping
We have good shipping progress for the past two weeks. Now we have only 50 orders left for EU, including 6 Leopard Pro, and 44 Leopard. Those 6 Leopard Pro have some parts missing. We don’t know the arrival timing of missing parts yet, but we believe they will arrive soon.
Leopard shipping already gets started (15 out last week), after shipping out most of the Leopard Pro.
RoW Shipping
We have more confirmed orders coming from unconfirmed order list, and now we have 26 orders left to RoW, including Canada.
Unconfirmed Orders
We successfully reached most backers with unconfirmed orders in the last two weeks. However, we still have 23 unconfirmed orders in total (EU 8, US11, RoW4).”
