The Big Tour to explore it All.

It’s a new year and a brand-new chance to ride, run and explore as the global community tours the amazing worlds of Zwift.

Launched in 2017, the Tour de Zwift is the biggest annual tour on the Zwift platform.

This world-hopping event spans eight stages, each with its own incredible theme and three different routes for you to explore. Ride the one that suits you best, or ride them all. It’s your tour—how you ride is up to you!

The 2023 Tour begins on the 9th January 2023 and consists of 8 stages. Each stage will be ridden through a different Zwift World. And each stage has three route options, depending how far you want to ride.

A – Long Ride; B – Standard Ride; C – Short Ride and D – Women Only (Standard Ride).

The categories A, B, C and D relate only to the Stage Distance and not to your Race Category / Speed / W/kg.

The Stages are as follows:

Ø  Stage 1 – Yorkshire

Ø  Stage 2 – Richmond (New Route Badge)

Ø  Stage 3 – France (New Route Badge)

Ø  Stage 4 – London

Ø  Stage 5 – New York (New Route Badge)

Ø  Stage 6 – Watopia

Ø  Stage 7 – Makuri (new Route Badge)

Ø  Stage 8 – Scotland (New World)

Scotland is a totally new world to Zwift which will be hosting the 2023 UCI Esports World Championships.

As in the past, there will be a couple of new kit unlocks, in the form of (more) new socks, a new cap and, when all stages have been completed – a completely new kit.

For the first time, it is understood that Pace Partners, (now RoboPacers) will also be taking part in the events. They will be at the start line, and you will be able to jump on their train to be paced around the course.

These events are very fast – you have to be prepared to push your limits from the word go! However, once the initial surge has settled down, you can soon find a group you can work with.

The Tour de Zwift is the second most popular group event on the Zwift Calendar, after the Tour of Watopia, which is usually held in March / April.

Selecting or joining the popular times for these Group Rides, can have 200 to 300 people riding, it makes for a great atmosphere.

A great start to the New Year.
